Challenge
Insurance claims run on documents: medical invoices, policies, and forms in dozens of formats and languages. The platform had to read them, extract structured data, and automate claims decisions — reliably enough to be deployed inside some of the world's largest insurers.
What we did
- Worked embedded inside the platform's engineering team — one unit, one codebase, enterprise standards
- Built document intelligence pipelines: OCR, computer vision, and NLP extracting structured data from medical invoices and claims documents
- Developed core platform services: claims workflows, APIs, and enterprise-grade authentication and access control
- Shipped the ML infrastructure around it — experiment tracking, data pipelines, and multi-tenant configurations for insurer deployments across Europe, Latin America, and Asia
- Operated to enterprise engineering discipline: mandatory code review, CI/CD, full linting and test culture across every contribution
Result
Production claims AI serving major insurers on three continents. The engineers who built it are the senior core of FAIR today — which is why insurance AI is a domain we know from the inside, not from a landing page.
