Challenge
Street parking is a real-time problem: a spot exists for about ninety seconds before it's gone. Building a marketplace around that moment means live geolocation, instant matching, secure payments between strangers, and a UX fast enough to use from a car — all while passing Apple's and Google's strictest review policies.
What we did
- Built a real-time two-sided marketplace where drivers list, discover, and hand off street parking spots as they happen
- Engineered the geolocation core: live position tracking, proximity-based matching, and map-native discovery with turn-by-turn navigation flows
- Implemented the full payments layer on Stripe: peer-to-peer transactions, an internal wallet, and automated balance management
- Shipped a single codebase to both iOS and Android, backed by a cloud infrastructure built for real-time load
- Navigated App Store and Google Play review end-to-end — including background location, Apple's most heavily scrutinized category — through to public release
Result
